SINGAPORE — CIMB Singapore officially opened its new offices in 30 Raffles Place, and in conjunction with the relocation, Change Alley Mall is rebranded as CIMB Plaza.

"CIMB Singapore is proud to be part of this rich history, and owning the naming rights of CIMB Plaza will further solidify CIMB’s footprint in Singapore," the bank said in a statement on Wednesday (1 June).

The office's official opening was held in conjunction with the ceremony to rename the famed Change Alley Mall as CIMB Plaza.

"CIMB has established Singapore as a hub for Affluent Banking services, owing to the country’s position as a leading private banking and wealth management centre in Asia," CIMB Singapore chief executive Victor Lee said.

"We recognise the potential breadth of cross-border services such as investments, financing and inter-generational wealth services, which can be offered out of Singapore to our clients across the region," he said.

The new offices include meeting rooms that can accommodate both physical and virtual participants, collaboration pods and huddle rooms that are suitable for hybrid work arrangements, it said.

The bank had been at Singapore Land Tower for 12 years before moving to 30 Raffles Place in December 2021.

CIMB Singapore has about 1,000 employees after it laid off some staff and shut its branch in Orchard Road in March 2021 as part of a restructuring exercise following a review of its business. It now has one branch at level three of CIMB Plaza.
