CDL gains strong foothold in Chongqing
City Developments Ltd (CDL) has announced that the newly-launched Eling Residences and CDL’s second development in Chongqing, Huang Huayuan, are set to benefit from the continual collaborative efforts between Singapore and Chongqing city.
The luxury 126-unit Eling Residences is located at the centre of the Yuzhong Peninsula. It is 15 minutes away from the central business district. Huang Huayuan, a mixed-use development in the prime Yuzhong district, is scheduled for launch in 2019. It comprises three high-rise towers, a mall and over 600 residential units.
Mirroring the Singapore government’s confidence in China, CDL continues to focus its diversification strategy on top-tier Chinese cities, according to Mark Yip, CEO of CDL China. With over half of its international land bank in China, or more than 2.6 million sq ft of proposed gross floor area, the company stands to leverage on the deepening economic ties between Singapore and China.
Other China residential projects by CDL include the luxury low density villa development Hongqiao Royal Lake in Shanghai and mixed-use development Hong Leong City Center, Suzhou.
