To celebrate 50 years of National Service (NS) in Singapore, members of the armed forces are entitled to $500,000 worth of exclusive benefits at more than 30 CapitaLand properties across the country.

“As a Singapore brand that has grown to be one of Asia’s largest real estate companies, CapitaLand is commemorating Singapore’s 50 years of National Service by rolling out a comprehensive suite of offerings across our various businesses to make it even more rewarding for our National Servicemen,” said its President and Group CEO Lim Ming Yan.

For instance, servicemen can exchange their NS50 Vouchers, which they will receive as part of their NS50 Recognition Package, for CapitaVouchers of equivalent value at over 2,000 participating retail outlets across 17 shopping centres including Bedok Mall, Clarke Quay, ION Orchard, JCube, Tampines Mall and Westgate.

They can also use their vouchers to rent storage space from StorHub, which operates 11 self-storage facilities across the island. From 1 July 2017, servicemen are also eligible for a 40 percent discount for storage leases of at least six months. This translates into potential savings of nearly $2,000 for a typical storage unit of 90 sq ft, and will be available until the end of NS50 Week on 10 August 2017.

Furthermore, national servicemen can now enjoy staycations at more affordable prices. Ascott, CapitaLand’s serviced residence arm, will be offering a 20 percent discount off rates at the Ascott Orchard Singapore and Ascott Raffles Place Singapore. The promotion only applies to weekend stays between 30 June and 31 October 2017. It also comes with complimentary tickets to either the Singapore Zoo or Night Safari.
