Bitauto Holdngs: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

BEIJING (AP) _ Bitauto Holdings Ltd. (BITA) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $21.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Beijing-based company said it had a loss of 30 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 31 cents per share.

The marketing company focused on the automotive industry posted revenue of $406.6 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in October, Bitauto Holdngs said it expects revenue in the range of $386 million to $400.6 million.

Bitauto Holdngs shares have decreased 53% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 47% in the last 12 months.
