Barbie Hsu pregnant with a baby boy

11 Feb - Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu recently revealed that she and husband Wang Xiaofei are expecting a baby boy.

As reported on Tencent Entertainment, the actress, who announced her pregnancy last year, posted a family photo on the Eve of the Lunar New Year, and expressed her wish for the Year of the Monkey – to "give birth to a healthy baby boy."

Her husband has also confirmed the news, saying that Barbie is currently five months pregnant.

Speaking about her second pregnancy recently, Barbie revealed that it was quite difficult this time around as she has been having a lot of cramps.

Although there is no pressure for her to give birth to a son, the actress is relieved to be able to give her husband a son to inherit the family name, since Wang is also the only son in his large family.

However, the actress stated that she has already confirmed a new filming project, which will begin shooting after childbirth.

The couple, who has been married for five years, welcomed their first child, daughter Wang Hsi-yueh, back in 2014 after three years of waiting.
