Annaly: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

NEW YORK (AP) _ Annaly Capital Management Inc. (NLY) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $2.25 billion, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of $1.74. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 29 cents per share.

The real estate investment trust posted revenue of $272.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $54.4 million, or 6 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.43 billion.

Annaly shares have increased roughly 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $10.38, a fall of roughly 1 percent in the last 12 months.
