Adobe: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Adobe Systems Inc. (ADBE) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $678.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the San Jose, California-based company said it had profit of $1.37. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.83 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.88 per share.

The software maker posted revenue of $2.46 billion in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Ten analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.42 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $2.59 billion, or $5.20 per share. Revenue was reported as $9.03 billion.

Adobe shares have increased 42 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $248.08, a climb of 40 percent in the last 12 months.
