8 Travel Deals During The Great Singapore Sale You Don’t Want To Miss

American Express® Credit Card Deals

1. 12% Off Hotel Bookings Through ZUJI

All the way till 30 September 2016, all American Express® Credit Card holders will be entitled to a 12% discount on hotel bookings that are made through ZUJI. I know 12% might seem like a small amount, but it does add up at the end of the day and you’d realise that that’s another 12% you’ve saved that you can spend on other things.

Plus with this promotion, you’ll get a 2% rebate for your flight or package bookings that are made through ZUJI as well. If you’re already an American Express® Credit Card holder, there’s no harm in making the bookings through ZUJI for the discounts.

Promotion Ends: 30 September 2016

If you were planning on signing up for an American Express® Credit Card and you can’t decide which one to get, we suggest the The American Express® True Cashback Card which is actually one of GET.com’s 10 best credit cards in Singapore.

With a minimum income requirement of $30,000 this cashback credit card lets you earn 1.5% cashback on everything that you spend on without any minimum required spending amount. That pretty much means that the sky is your limit when it comes to how much cashback you can earn.

If you’re a big spender and a frequent flyer, then you can consider The American Express® Platinum Credit Card - Full Fee Offer to get some great benefits. For every $1.60 you spend you’ll earn 2 points. The best part? These points don’t ever expire! Over time, without you even noticing, you would’ve chalked up quite a big amount of points.

Citibank Credit Card Deals

2. 50% Off Tickets For Second Pax To Seoul, Korea

This deal will be like a pot of gold if you’re planning to travel as a pair! If you’re planning your next trip out of Singapore between July to September, look no further. Just go to the capital of Korea and get your dose of all things Korean.

And yes, even though only one of you will be entitled to the discount, sharing is caring right? Just take your total bill for the tickets at the end of the day and divide it by 2, that way you’re both saving some cash.

Read our Seoul travel guide to get ideas of the best places to visit and what to see, eat and do while there.

Promotion Ends: 31 July 2016

3. 50% Off Second Pax For Japan Tour Packages

Similarly like the deal above, the 50% off will only kick in for the second person that you’re travelling with. If you and your friend are smart about it, just take your total bill and split it by half. Just be sure to make the payment with your Citibank credit card.

Promotion Ends: 31 July 2016

4. $248 All-In Round Trip To Bangkok

If you’re a Citi MasterCard holder, you’re in luck. Thai Airways are selling their round trip tickets to Bangkok from as low as $248. Of course if you like travelling with style, then booking tickets in first class would cost you more. But if you’re happy in economy, then that’s less than 300 bucks and you literally got your ticket to Bangkok. You have all the way till 15 November 2016 to go for your trip once you’ve booked the tickets.

In our Bangkok travel guide you will find our insider tips of the best places to visit and the best things to see, eat and do while there.

5. Up To 22% Off Fares To Africa, Middle East, Europe, North and South America

There are 3 Citibank cards that are eligible for this deal. They are the Citibank Platinum and Citibank World MasterCard for those who prefer to travel in business class, and there’s the Citi MasterCard, which can be used for fares in economy class.

If you book your tickets to one any of these exotic areas in the world by 30 September 2016, you’ll be entitled to up to 22% off. That’s a steal if you ask me.

Promotion Ends: 30 September 2016

What would be a good Citibank credit card for you? If you earn at least $50,000 per year and if you travel often, you can consider Citi PremierMiles Visa Card. This travel card rewards you with 2 Citi Miles for every $1 that you spend overseas, and 1.2 Citi Miles for every $1 you spend locally. Once you’ve accumulated enough miles, you can redeem them on over 60 airlines worldwide.

There’s also Citi Prestige Card, which is a prestigious travel rewards credit card that lets you earn 5 Citi Dollars (2 Miles) for every $1 spent overseas, and 3.25 Citi Dollars (1.3 Miles) for every $1 spent locally. You will also have access to VIP Priority Pass lounges. Now that’s what I call a prestigious card.

DBS Credit Card Deals

6. 15% Off Hotel Bookings With Asiatravel

If you’re planning to travel with at least one other person and if one of you is a DBS or POSB credit card holder, then you’d find this deal to be conveniently advantageous for you. All you have to do is make your accommodation bookings through Asiatravel to be entitled to the 15% off.

On top of that you’ll receive another *$60 off your flight packages that are booked through Asiatravel, which is a double deal. Even though $60 doesn’t look like much, if it means saving a little more cash, why not!

Promotion Ends: 30 June 2016

If you’re thinking of getting a DBS credit card for yourself, have a look at DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card if you travel a lot. You’ll earn 3 miles for every $1 spent on online flight and hotel transactions and also receive 2 Complimentary Global Airport Lounge Access within each 12-month period of Priority Pass™ Membership. Plus, if you use this card when you’re spending overseas and locally, you’ll earn 2 Miles and 1.2 Miles respectively for every $1 you spend.

There’s also DBS Live Fresh Visa Card if you love online shopping. You’ll earn 1 DBS Point for every $5 you charge to your card, and 3X DBS Points when you shop online. This card is also great because you’re entitled to 50% off at over 1000 dining outlets in Singapore. You can pretty much go anywhere to eat and you’ll get to save some cash!

HSBC Credit Card Deals

7. 10% Hotel Bookings Through ZUJI

To be entitled to this deal, you just have to be an HSBC credit card holder. Similarly to how some of the other deals in this list work, all you have to do is book through ZUJI and pay with your HSBC card and you’ll receive the 10% off. Don’t forget to key in the promo code ‘HSBCZUJI10’!

Promotion Ends: 30 June 2016

8. 35% Off A Single Trip Or 25% Off An Annual Travel Plan

This is a major steal if you’re buying tickets for an open trip, especially for students studying overseas, or if you’re buying a ticket for a loved one who’s coming to visit long-term. Even if you won’t be needing a one way trip, you’d probably be itching to get your flight ticket out of here! I mean, 35% off, can it get any better than that?

The deal doesn’t stop there. If you have a recurring trip with your friends or family that happens every year, then you’re entitled to 25% off! Just be sure you book your tickets by 30 June 2016 and you’re good to go!

Promotion Ends: 30 June 2016

What would be a good HSBC credit card for you? HSBC Visa Platinum Credit Card has a high rebate rate of 5% for when you spend on groceries and an up to 5% rebate when you spend on petrol. If you like to eat out too, you’ll can earn up to 2% cash rebates on dining when you use this card.
