7 Cheapest Hotel Weekend Lunch Buffets In Singapore

This article was originally on GET.com at: 7 Cheapest Hotel Weekend Lunch Buffets In Singapore .

Have you ever had the urge to go feast at the buffet spreads that hotels in Singapore offer, only to shelve the idea on the grounds of them being priced out of this world.

Well, that could be right...but it could also be wrong.

We at GET.com have scoured the internet to bring you this list of 7 hotel weekend lunch buffets that you can indulge in without feeling a wee bit guilty!

Some will surprise you, I guarantee.

1. Carousel @ Royal Plaza On Scotts

Carousel’s buffet is one that is almost too popular to earn a spot in this article. It gets insanely crowded and noisy, but who cares when you’re there to stuff yourself silly with its wide selection of sweet and tender seafood, three dazzling counters worth of sinful desserts, exotic cheeses, Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern dishes.

For the uninitiated, besides the amazing selection of unique foods available, local delights highlighting our Singaporean culture are at your disposal, too!

It is also worthy to note that Carousel’s an award-winning, halal-certified restaurant so our Muslim friends can dine with peace of mind.

Be sure to load up on your carbs at Carousel as their pasta selection is really impressive - cooked al dente and drenched in full-bodied, well-balanced sauces!

2. MELT - The World Cafe @ Mandarin Oriental Singapore

Melt - The World Cafe is located at Mandarin Oriental Singapore, a hotel with five-star credentials sitting in the CBD area.

Why on earth would they offer a buffet spread that won’t break the bank? Nobody knows but I’m pretty sure this is when we thank our lucky stars.

It offers an international buffet that does exceedingly well with their fresh and fat sashimi, freshly churned naan and tandoori meats and fancy desserts that include made-on-the-spot Belgian waffles with your choice of homemade ice-creams with flavours ranging from classic ones like chocolate & vanilla to opulent ones like pistachio.

Their lunch buffet features no pork and lard, by the way! For those who thrive on lots of meat including perfectly charred meats, go for their dinner buffets instead. Of course, dinner buffets would cost you more.

Nestled among the slew of restaurants in glitzy Marina Bay Sands sits Todai, an upscale but casual buffet restaurant that serves up anything and everything from cuisines hailing from all over the world.

You’ll also find lots of succulent meats and a decadent dessert spread at their buffet.

Todai is a great place for seafood lovers given how much they focus on dishing up fresh seafood - it is basically the reason why diners often make a beeline for their sashimi, sushi rolls and makis.

Of course, snow crab legs, green mussels and cocktail shrimps are some of their signature dishes!

4. RISE @ Marina Bay Sands

RISE is another buffet option that you’ll find at swanky Marina Bay Sands. What makes RISE a better deal than Todai, you may wonder?

Well, RISE’s weekend lunch buffet costs slightly less than Todai’s and children below the age of 5 get to eat free-of-charge.

This is the place to visit if both variety and value are especially important to you.

The generous spread of international cuisine and the fancy selection of desserts and pastries speak for themselves.

Everyday favourites include their sushi and sashimi bar, live tandoori station, and sweet treats.

You’ll be happy to know that RISE’s lively ambience coupled with a spacious interior with floor-ceiling windows and modern art will heighten your dining experience.

Those who are keen in going for a wholly Italian buffet spread can consider dining at Prego as it offers a semi-buffet lunch option.

Take your pick from the hearty assortment of antipasti, pastas, pizzas, fresh seafood and desserts.

Honestly, it is rather rare to find a semi-buffet lunch with such variety! Anyway, what’s not to love about cured meats and creamy risotto?
