Things To Consider When Renting A Bicycle
For those of us used to bicycle-sharing, we may have forgotten how and where to rent bicycles. While it may be intuitive to just go with the nearest or the first bicycle rental store we chance upon, that may not be the most optimal choice.
When choosing bicycle rental shops, do take note of the location, timing of rental, types of bicycles, late charges, and overnight charges. These factors can help us to avoid queues and unnecessary expenses. For late charges, most bicycle stores tend to charge for the full hour upon being late past 10 minutes.

Apart from going to Sentosa for the beach clubs, renting a bicycle could be an alternative option for a day out on the island.
Currently, there is only one bicycle rental store on the island, which is located at Siloso Beach, opposite Ola Bar. The cycling route around the beaches roughly spans about 3.2km. Apart from the beach routes, there are other cycling routes to consider such as from VivoCity to Sentosa.

The park connector ride through Coney Island spans about 2.5km. With the trees providing natural shading, it is a cool location for cyclists to enjoy especially on a sunny island like Singapore. Connected to Coney Island, cyclists can extend their cycling route to Punggol Waterway which is an additional 4.2km.

Lastly, as one of the oldest coastal parks in Singapore, Changi Beach is a great alternative to East Coast Park for east side residents. Located at the end of the park is one of Singapore’s most popular hawker centres – Changi Village Hawker Centre.
Most of the bicycle rental stores are located near Changi Village Hawker Centre. The park spans about 3.3 km. Cyclist that would like to experience a longer route can rent from Changi Terminal 2 and ride through the Jurassic Mile before connecting to Changi Beach Park.
