14% of Singapore Airlines flights didn't fly on-time in December

But it was Asia's eighth best performer.

For the period of December, seven other airlines had better on-time rates than Singapore Airlines' 86.29%. These are Japan Air Commuter (94.36% on-time flights), ANA Wings (90.42%). Japan Airlines (90.38%), JAL Express (90.37%), Thai AirAsia (89.85%), J-Air (87.4%) and ANA (86.88%), according to data from FlightStats.

Among the surveyed airlines, Singapore Airlines ranked 8th out of 35 in on-time performance.

Singapore Airlines also had 8.37% late flights (15-29 minutes behind schedule), 2.38% very late flights (30-44 mins behind), 2.96% excessive late flights (45+ mins behind) and 1.11% cancelled flights. It had no diverted flights.

These data are based on a sample size of 7,308 flights recorded for the period.
