The ArtScience Museum has a permanent exhibition called Future World which was set up by a Japanese collective called, teamLab. Unlike most exhibitions, this one’s way more interactive than just viewing art from a distance. Perfect for your little ones.

2. SWEET

Inspired by Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Act 3 International has come up with an exhibition for kids to experience and practice visual arts through workshops and storytelling sessions. There’s lots going on here from making gelato, to colourful lollipops and a creative expression drama workshop too.

3. Robot Kitty Singapore

Who doesn’t love Hello Kitty? This June, your kids will be able to learn more about math and engineering through Sanrio Robotics Institute’s (S.R.I) newest creation, Robot K. You’ll be exploring 5 interactive gaming departments with Robot K once you’re there. Make sure you use up those accumulated gaming points to redeem accessories or parts to spruce up the Robot K.

Location: Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hall 403

4. Playeum: Hideaways Creating With Nature

When I was a kid, I used to love learning about anything to do with nature. At Playeum’s exhibition called Hideaways, kids will get to learn more about nature by exploring, observing and even constructing nature elements.

One of the exhibitions you can’t miss out is the Sound of The Earth, where kids will get to interact with sound installations that are made up of natural material. Then there’s the Dark Space exhibition where the kids will determine the artwork through their hands-on activities.

Location: Children’s Centre for Creativity

Date: 30 October 2016

5. Lego Nexo Knights

At this Lego event, your kids can live their dreams of being a hero with the NEXO KNIGHTS™ Virtual Training 101. If your little ones have never experienced the realm of virtual reality, then this is where you can let them delve into the Lego world.

There’s also going to be multiple quests within the area for them to win the Shield of Honour and also take home a certificate with two exclusive shields only available during the event that your kids can scan to further improve their in-game characters.

Location: VivoCity, Court B

Date: 1 June - 19 June 2016

6. KidsSTOP Academy Workshops

If your little one is very much acquainted to science, then of course the Science Centre Singapore has some pretty cool activities that you might be able to learn a thing or two from too. At the Science holiday workshops, they will be debunking magic tricks, light-up LED greeting cards and gas-trapping bubbles, all through engaging workshops that encourage a sense of curiosity about how the world works.

You have to register for this one, and different age groups will have their workshops on different days so be sure to book them soon!

Location: Science Centre Singapore

Date: 31 May - 16 June 2016

7. Imagine | Native

The ability to imagine is such an important trait for kids to have and develop, that’s why Resorts World has come up with a creative festival of sorts for kids to let their imagination run free.

Through combined performances, workshops, and a slew of activities, the constant marine theme will not only allow their minds to be stimulated, but it’s also an effort to educate them on the importance of conserving the oceans and the creatures that live in it.

Location: The Maritime Experiential Museum

Date: 27 May - 12 June 2016

8. SuperFundae Carnival

What’s a holiday without a carnival? If the weather is good, pack your picnic mats and head down to Gardens By The Bay for you and your little ones to play all day.

The games and activities that are planned for the day all have different objectives to either encourage communication skills, psychomotor skills and using your imagination. Such a great way to allow for social interaction, in my opinion.

Location: The Meadow, Gardens By The Bay

Date: 4 June 2016

9. Bake With Dad

If you’re a daddy who loves getting involved in the kitchen, then take your kids out baking at the Chantilly Culinary Studio. Here your kids will learn to bake simple banana cupcakes and decorate them. They will get their hands on malleable fondant which will be cut and moulded into Avengers superheroes.

Location: Chantilly Culinary Studio

10. Sewing Softies With Sew Into It

Learning how to sew has never been so fun with Sew Into It. The two ladies who conduct these workshops love sharing their passion for sewing and this applies to kids, too. At this softie sewing workshop, your little one can have a hand at learning how to work a sewing machine and they can also create their own softie in the shape of their favourite animal. It provides a great hands-on experience and also exposes them to the world of textures and fabrics.
