#5 Free Fitness Tracker

The National Health Challenge is into its 5thSeason. You can get a free fitness tracker and/or Pokémon-themed collectible kit when you sign up for the National Health Challenge.

You are rewarded with healthpoints when you take a certain number of steps a day. You can also earn healthpoints through the MVPA category where you perform higher intensity physical activities for at least 10 minutes per session continuously. #6 Free Extra Data

Singtel users can sign up for StepUp, Singtel’s wellness program found in My Singtel app. Similar to members of AIA Vitality, you can earn points for the steps you take everyday. StepUp users have the opportunity to redeem lifestyle rewards, participate in unique partner challenges and redeem up to 3GB of mobile data a month with the points they earn. For example, you can redeem 1GB local data for every 1000 points you earn during the month.

However, your data reward is not transferable. Help your loved ones earn their free data by helping them clock their steps every day. Alternatively, you can use your own points to redeem a reward for them to use, from merchants such as Lazada, Klook, Puma and more.

How to get: All Singtel Postpaid mobile customers can apply for StepUp, except for the EasyMobile line, Singtel Connected Things line, MobileShare Supplementary line and a Business Registered Number. Activate StepUp via My Singtel app and start walking to earn free data and other rewards.

#7 Free Travel Insurance

For those travelling in December, you can get free travel insurance with AIA as part of their AIA Travel Awesome Campaign 2019. This travel insurance covers travel cancellation, travel postponement, travel delay, baggage delay, loss of baggage and more. The coverage of this free travel insurance is limited, so don’t forget to purchase additional travel insurance if you think you will need more coverage.

This travel insurance from AIA will cover you for multiple trips (up to 46 days) across 21 countries in Asia. Coverage starts from 1 December 2019 or date of application (whichever is later) up till 15 January 2020, of which the cover will automatically terminate thereafter.

How to get: To enjoy this free travel insurance, you have to be a Singapore Resident with a valid NRIC/FIN. You must apply before your departure from Singapore and your departure date from Singapore must also be within 1 December 2019 to 31 December 2019. Find out more about the free travel insurance here. #8 Free Library Starter Pack For Your Child

The National Library Board (NLB) has a Babies Can Be Members Too! Programme where parents can register their babies as library members. This programme is open to babies born from Jan 2016 onwards.

By applying an NLB membership for your baby, you can get a gift pack for your baby that includes a tote bag, height chart, rhymes and fingerplays calendar for the little ones.

How to get: Parents can use the Moments of Life (MOL) app to register the birth of your child and apply for NLB membership card. Alternatively, parents can also activate your baby’s library card at any public library by bringing your child’s birth certificate and a parent’s NRIC.

#9 Free Cash

Cash is king.

Giving red packets is not only reserved for occasions such as Chinese New Year and birthdays. What’s stopping you from giving your loved ones cash in a red packet (or even an eAngbao) for Christmas?

Standard Chartered and SingSaver have partnered up to give new-to-bank customers $200 in cash when they sign up for a Standard Chartered credit card. SingSaver will give you $120 cash via PayNow the next day after your application, while Standard Chartered Bank will offer $80 in cashback.

This adds up to $200 in cash and cashback. On top of that, customers can also receive instant credit card approval approval.

However, do note that this is only new-to-bank customers for Standard Chartered Bank.
