SIA Reports 2 Fold Increase In 1H16 Net Profit

Singapore Airlines (SIA) 1H16 net profit increased more than twofold to $304.8 million, from the net profit of $125.7 million last year.

The group reported revenue of $7.6 billion, comparable to that of last year’s revenue with just a dip of 0.12 percent. Profitability came in the form of the absence of the group’s share of losses of associated companies, which declined $117 million mainly due to the reclassification of Tigerair as a subsidiary company.
