IFF closes on acquisition of Aromor

International Flavors & Fragrances completes acquisition of Aromor Flavors and Fragrances

NEW YORK (AP) -- International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. has completed its acquisition of privately held Aromor Flavors and Fragrances Ltd.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

International Flavors & Fragrances makes ingredients for a range of food, cosmetics and consumer products. Aromor, based in Israel, makes specialty ingredients used in fragrances and flavors. Aromor is currently one of IFF's suppliers.

Aromor will become part of the IFF Fragrances Ingredients business.

Nicole Mirzayantz, IFF's group president of fragrances, said in a statement that the New York company expects to invest in and develop the research and development and manufacturing capabilities of Aromor's plant in Israel in order to help strengthen the development and production of specialty ingredients.

The deal is expected to add to IFF's 2014 earnings per share.
