CarMax to hire more than 1,200 across country

Used car dealership chain CarMax to hire more than 1,200 across country

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Used car dealership chain CarMax says it plans to hire more than 1,200 workers across the country.

The Richmond-based company said in a news release that the positions include sales, service operations, purchasing and the business office. Both full-time and part-time positions will be filled.

Some of the areas with a large number of sales opportunities include Albuquerque, N.M., Hartford, Conn., Baton Rouge, La., and locations in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore area.

CarMax has more than 18,000 employees and operates more than 125 used car superstores.
