Bayer, Merck combining their medicine cabinets

Bayer AG's proposed purchase of Merck & Co.'s consumer health unit would create a combined over-the-counter business with many of the products in a typical medicine chest.

Sales in 2013 for the top ten sellers in the proposed new lineup totaled 2.915 billion euros, or about $4.03 billion. Many are well known in the U.S. or Europe:
