Sila Realty Trust IPO, Adobe earnings: Market Domination Overtime

On today's edition of Market Domination Overtime, Yahoo Finance's Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton analyze the market close and the biggest stories of the trading day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) closed in the red for the third consecutive trading day this week. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 (^GSPC) and Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) closed at new record highs, largely due to the tech sector's growth. Head of Citizens JMP Securities Mark Lehmann is overweight on tech, explaining it has become "much more of a horizontal than a vertical." He adds that companies will see rising multiples and profitability as AI begins to seep into other sectors. Sila Realty Trust Inc. (SILA) is officially listed on the New York Stock Exchange. CEO Michael Seaton explains that Sila Realty Trust "is incredibly well-positioned because we are low leveraged, and we have a very strong portfolio." He adds, "So candidly, much less competition today. It's a tremendous opportunity for us to acquire very high-quality real estate with less competition in this marketplace." Adobe (ADBE) posted second quarter earnings that topped Wall Street's expectations on the top and bottom lines. The software giant also boosted its full-year EPS guidance, sending shares higher in Thursday's trading session. Finally, Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton break down what to watch on Friday, June 14, from June's preliminary consumer sentiment reading to the conclusion of Apple's (AAPL) Worldwide Developers Conference. No cellular service? No problem. The latest of Apple’s (AAPL) new features enables satellite communication, part of a suite of technological innovations unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) that sent the company’s shares to an all-time high on Tuesday. Yahoo Finance technology editor Dan Howley is joined by Kurt Knight, Apple’s senior director of platform product marketing, for a demonstration of the new feature both for sending texts and other emergency messages. “When you're off the grid, you can still be sharing your location to friends and family. [Requesting] roadside assistance, so if you've got some vehicle problems, even if you don't have cell phone connectivity, you can still get some help,” Knight tells Yahoo Finance. Knight explains that the satellite feature is an expansion of existing offerings, like Emergency SOS, but clarifies that emergencies aren’t the only use case: “It's sort of the full gamut of communication,” he says.
