West Coast Storm System Brings Rivers and Falls in Yosemite Back to Life

The massive storm system that dumped record-breaking rain across Northern California has sent water surging through rivers and waterfalls in Yosemite National Park, video taken on October 25 shows.

The rain helped ease a statewide drought that has been particularly acute in Northern California. The park’s famous Yosemite Falls was resuscitated by rainfall over the weekend. Only days earlier, a webcam captured the waterfall completely dry.

This video, taken on Monday, shows the Merced River raging in the park. Credit: Mark Hoffer via Storyful
