Water Leaks Into New York Subway Car During Nor'easter Storm

Subway riders in the Bronx were confronted with damp conditions on the morning of October 26, as a powerful nor’easter storm dumped several inches of rain in the city.

On Monday evening, a special weather statement was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for parts of New York City, including areas in the Bronx. As of Tuesday afternoon, the storm had dropped 2.73 inches of rain in Central Park, while Newark received 3.08 inches and LaGuardia airport in Queens tallied 2.15 inches, according to the NWS.

This footage, uploaded by @gusgutierrez to Twitter, shows water leaking from the ceiling of a train car in the Bronx. Water can also be seen covering the floor of the car. The train was running on the 4 Line, according to the uploader. Credit: @gusgutierrez via Storyful
