Traffic moves at snail's pace as continuous downpour hits Hyderabad

Continuous downpour in Hyderabad caused severe traffic snarls across the city. Roads were waterlogged and several areas were filled with water, affecting vehicular movement. Officials advised people to stay indoors between 9.30 and 11.30 am. According to the MeT department, thunderstorm with moderate to heavy rain would occur over many places of northwest, south and southeast NCR and Delhi including Bhiwani, Rohtak, IGI Airport, Dwarka, RK Puram, Gurgaon, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida during the next two hours. Due to this US Secretary of State John Kerry's visits to religious sites in Delhi were cancelled due to heavy rain.
