Nor’easter Brings Flooding to New York

A nor’easter storm brought heavy rains to New York, prompting Governor Kathy Hochul to declare a state disaster emergency on Monday, October 25.

Heavy downpours are expected to hit multiple areas of New York through to Wednesday, with four or more inches anticipated to impact New York City, Mid-Hudson, Southern Tier, and Long Island.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch, with several areas expected to see more than one inch of rain per hour.
