Good news for SRK fans, MNS won't oppose his films starring Pak artistes

Shah Rukh Khan's fans can now heave a sigh of relief as King Khan's upcoming films 'Raees' and 'Dear Zindagi' featuring Pakistani actors, won't face any opposition from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). On being asked if 'Raees' would face any opposition, working president of Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, Shalini Thackeray said, "They always said that these films were shot before the Uri attack happened. So, in today's meeting, it became clear that apart from the three films which have been completed-- Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Raees and Dear Zindagi -- no other films with Pakistani artistes will be released." In a meeting held with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis film producer Mukesh Bhatt, Karan Johar and MNS chief Raj Thackeray at his residence on Saturday it was decided the Producer's Guild will not work with Pakistani artistes in the future, resulting in timely release of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. Slated to hit theatres on January 26, 2017, 'Raees' has Pakistani actor Mahira Khan, while 'Dear Zindagi' will see Pakistani actor Ali Zafar in a prominent role.
