Doorbell Camera Captures Moment of Deadly Explosion in Evansville, Indiana

Dramatic doorbell footage captured the moment of an explosion in Evansville, Indiana, that killed at least three people, officials told local media on Thursday, August 11.

The footage, captured by Evansville local Madison Struble, shows debris flying through the air outside her home on North Weinbach Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

“Luckily, Trevor and I were not home; however our home is unlivable,” Struble said on Facebook. “Our hearts go out to the people across the street who lost their lives from this tragic event,” she added.

On Thursday morning, the Evansville Police Department said the area continued to be sealed off during the ongoing investigation.

According to local media, the explosion damaged 39 homes and rendered 11 homes uninhabitable. Credit: Madison Struble via Storyful
