Demonstrators in New York's Foley Square Protest Death of George Floyd

Protestors gathered in Foley Square in downtown New York City on May 29, demonstrating against the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25.

Footage uploaded to Twitter of the crowd in Foley Square shows demonstrators holding signs and chanting, “No justice, no peace.”

The protests were sparked after a video circulated on social media showed Minneapolis police officers pinning Floyd to the ground, one having his knee on the man’s neck. Floyd was later pronounced dead.
