Children Boated to School Amid Severe Flooding in Gunnedah, New South Wales

Severe flooding didn’t mean a day off school for two boys in Gunnedah, New South Wales, as they were boated across a flooded roadway on November 29.

Parts of the town were left inundated with water on Sunday as the Namoi River level at Gunnedah peaked at 8.61 metres, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. The river’s level was falling slowly on Monday, however, forecast rain on Tuesday and Wednesday were expected to cause further rises in the Namoi River catchment.
