Bluebell Capital reportedly takes activist stake in BlackRock

Yahoo Finance Live reports on Bluebell Capital's latest activist investor stake in BlackRock.

Video transcript

DAVE BRIGGS: Activist investor Bluebell Capital Partners has taken a position in BlackRock and is calling for a new CEO, according to the Wall Street Journal. Bluebell is calling for BlackRock to replace Larry Fink, who's held the chief executive role since founding the firm in 1988. Bluebell argues BlackRock has not purchased the ESG investment it's touted. BlackRock shares were rather muted on the news, but set off about 22% on the year.
