Ash and Lava Spew From Cumbre Vieja Volcano on La Palma

Lava from the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma has destroyed 400 homes and was endangering more on September 23, according to El Pais.

Thousands of people have been evacuated, and firefighters have been attempting by various means to divert the flow of lava away from houses.
