TTE is getting in the Solar. Owning shares in SPWR is a early indication. I like SPWR either way under $39
  • A
I moved all TTE to CVX and XOM. Obviously the market is rewarding the old economy until the new economy shows some real cash flow.

How can this be the only oil stock down today?
  • P
I could see synergies for TTE to buy and control more share in SPWR and to make purchase contracts with them for massive solar farm installations. economics of scale would benefit both of companies. Either way, I invest in both.

    Pretty good:
Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.76 beats by $0.15; GAAP EPS of $1.71 beats by $0.04.
    Revenue of $49.07B (+80.3% Y/Y) misses by $610M.

TTE is hitting it out of park as they continue with OIL production which is necessary for many years to come, expanding natural gas, hydrogen, wind, solar.. and today announces a huge share buyback in the 4th Qtr

$XOM $RDS-A $TTE $SLB I put together a Reddit post that includes quite a bit of information from the recent Africa oil conferences attended by Recon Africa and other major O&G companies operating in the continent. Of particular interest are the other companies currently active in Namibia, including Exxon, Shell, and Total (all currently offshore). Namibia is definitely behind the curve with regards to oil and gas exploration, but this will soon change, and the number of companies in the region will provide the opportunity for cost savings and synergies with regards to investment in infrastructure. This Reddit post includes presentation transcripts and slides, links to other majors and how they are active in Namibia, upcoming events, and a selection of resources from the Encore Recon Africa Discord Library.

This is an oil and gas company, not a ponzi crypto mining company?
  • j
TTE, apparently owns a large % of. SWPR. SPWR has a nice customer base.

black gold .... there's black gold in them thar hills ... and it should be in your portfolio too

Will there be a market for oil in 20 years? Yes. Will it be as big as it was? No.
Total will be riding the wave to renewables, while still profiting from oil and gas with higher margins. It has a skilled management, a strong balance sheet and the company is trading very cheaply.
I will collect the 10% divi and hold for the future.
