Former Attorney General of Louisiana Charles C. Foti, Jr., Esq. and the law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC ("KSF") are investigating the proposed sale of RigNet, Inc. (NasdaqGS: RNET) to Viasat Inc. (NasdaqGS: VSAT). Under the terms of the proposed transaction, shareholders of RigNet will receive only 0.1845 shares of Viasat for each share of RigNet that they own. KSF is seeking to determine whether this consideration and the process that led to it are adequate, or whether the consideration undervalues the Company.
While Verizon (VZ) extends its edge computing services with Deloitte deal, Viasat (VSAT) will acquire RigNet to create a vertically integrated company.
With the latest acquisition, Viasat (VSAT) creates a vertically integrated communications company that will serve customers in varied industries.
