Huge opportunity to be buying here. Glad I waited...honestly didn't think we would see below $46 again after this morning. It will definitely be over $51-$52 by year end. Hit over $48 this morning...no reason why it won't again today or tomorrow.

Goldman Sachs says buy "highly profitable growth stocks", then goes on to list MP as just that. Twelve months or less from today MP should have stage two completed, it fundamentally changes the company, and ruins most of the bear case.

Rare Earth Metals Global Market Report 2021: COVID-19 Growth And Change
    NOVEMBER 30, 2021
"The global rare earth metals market is expected to grow from $5.22 billion in 2020 to $5.72 billion in 2021 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.6%. The growth is mainly due to the companies resuming their operations and adapting to the new normal while recovering from the COVID-19 impact, which had earlier led to restrictive containment measures involving social distancing, remote working, and the closure of commercial activities that resulted in operational challenges. The market is expected to reach $8.88 billion in 2025 at a CAGR of 11.6%.".....

Rick has confused the importance of a supply chain for rare earths with lithium miners. Nice analysis. Lithium is for batteries. Rare earths are for magnets. It would be to your advantage to learn what the company does.

"According to data by SA, a UK-based brokerage firm that allows users to trade online, global consumer spending in electronics is expected to reach $1.06 trillion in 2021. This will create a significant surge in demand for the rare earth metals market and thus will propel the growth of the rare earth elements.".....

The strongest known magnet is an alloy of neodymium with iron and boron. Adding other REEs such as dysprosium and praseodymium can change the performance and properties of magnets.
Hybrid and electric vehicle engines, generators in wind turbines, hard disks, portable electronics and cell phones require these magnets and elements. This role in technology makes their mining and refinement a point of concern for many nations.
For example, one megawatt of wind energy capacity requires 171 kg of rare earths, a single U.S. F-35 fighter jet requires about 427 kg of rare earths, and a Virginia-class nuclear submarine uses nearly 4.2 tonnes.

Due to Russia & China, the use of neodyium in the defense industry will skyrocket next year. Without securing this strategic material, it is almost impossible to defend Ukraine & Taiwan.

This is as good as it gets for MP. High market prices for REE drives high prices for its concentrate that others process into finished elements. Low risk and low cost to produce concentrate, they still have not proven viability to separate and produce finished elements. Dreaming about producing magnets is so far away and they have no expertise and no capabilities to make it happen. They must talk about phase 2 and phase 3 but huge cost hurdles plus lack of expertise will mean they miss timelines, exceed costs and have quarterly excuses about what happened.

Any good chart readers out there? Looks to me it will slow drift to mid-30’s without any catalyst. I don’t think we will go back to the lower 30’s again like we have for the last 6 months.

Awesome volume to start the day, let's hope this continues. We know that MP Materials will announce the location of their magnet facility this month. Will their be a joint venture partner, and will their name start with a "T"?
