Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in power, banking and financial services, food, infrastructure, land, and data science and artificial intelligence businesses in the Philippines and internationally. The company is involved in distribution and retail of electricity generated through baseload coal and geothermal, hydropower, solar, battery energy storage, and oil-based power plants; manufacture and sale of hard and soft wheat, and specialty flours under Sun Moon Star, Sunshine, Glowing Sun, Kutitap, Gold Star, Mega Star, and Wooden Spoon brand names; animal nutrition and feed products, including swine, poultry, rabbit, and pet food, as well as aqua feed products; animal healthcare products; operation of farms and feed mill plants for hogs and eggs; and wholesale of food products, beverages, and agricultural and forestry raw materials. It also engages in the development and rental of real estate projects comprising residential communities, integrated industrial townships, and commercial hubs; provision of property management services; development of infrastructure projects, including water supply, water distribution, wastewater treatment, water-related infrastructure, regional airports, communication towers, integrated economic centers; manufacture, development, exploitation, and sale of cement, concrete, marble, and other building materials; quarrying, crushing, mixing, processing, sale, and dealing in limestone; and provision of aviation and insurance services. The company was formerly known as Cebu Pan Asian Holdings, Inc. and changed its name to Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. in December 1993. Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. was incorporated in 1989 and is headquartered in Taguig City, the Philippines.
