Get a Very T&C Preview of Sir Richard Branson's Newest Estate on Moskito Island

Calling all Jetsetters! Sir Richard Branson's Moskito Island is officially launching two new private estates on October 1, which are set to join The Branson Estate, part of the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio. As seasoned travelers may already know, The Branson Estate is available to rent, and is part of Moskito Island's collection of 10 privately owned estates. For those who may not know, Moskito Island is Branson's latest venture in the British Virgin Islands and has quickly come to be known as a one-of-a-kind experience in the Caribbean, offering the best of coastal living and the pinnacle of luxury, with best in class hospitality and stunning design on each estate. As of this Friday, two more private estates are available to rent: The Point Estate and The Oasis Estate.

Here T&C has an exclusive first look at The Point Estate, which is nestled cliff-side overlooking Manchioneel Beach and neighboring Virgin Gorda.

"Uniquely set on the cascading hillside of Moskito Island overlooking the straits, acting as a gateway between Cow Bay and the North Sound and comprised of a series of pavilions, The Point Estate is inspired by the forms of a Mediterranean hill town," says Mike Sinesi, AIA, Director of Dewing Schmid Kearns, and the property's architect. "Each of the pavilions are set in the lush landscape to provide solitude, and the warmth and charm of a seaside cottage. Much of the estate details were actually inspired by the ownership family’s trips around the world that have been brought to life in a unique way around the entire property. For example, animals and images inspired by these travels were carved onto decorative ceiling panels by craftspeople and artisans in Bali."

Designed up a cliff with free-standing accommodations and one main great room with a communal space, The Point Estate comes complete with dining and entertainment areas, as well as a contemporary kitchen and bar, and an infinity pool with a 180 degree view. "The great room is at the center of the action, just below the bedroom pavilions, and above the Seaside Pavilion,” says Sinesi. “A beautiful space for entertaining for the entire family. The view here is one of the most spectacular sunset views I have ever seen. On offer are panoramic views of the distant horizon that span from sunrise over the eastern end of Virgin Gorda, to sunsets over hilltops of Tortola to the west.”

The breath-taking open-air and seaside dining pavilion, perched right up on the estate’s cliff point, is built to offer some of the best sunset views in the British Virgin Islands and, perhaps even better, guests staying at The Point have direct access to the aforementioned primary beach on the island, Manchioneel."This is the only estate on the island that has direct access to the beach, which makes it super unique, so guests can wake up for a morning swim or paddle board," says Sinesi.

Some more details: complete with 8 bedrooms (including an 8-bunk children's accommodation in the main house—which Sinesi claims claims to have “the best view on the island!”), The Point can comfortably sleep 22 people, making it an ideal family destination. “The sumptuous interiors of the entire estate are reserved and soothing, with complementary values between the dark wood accents and the ethereal planes of the walls. Whenever possible, biophilic design principles of indoor-outdoor living have been applied,” says the architect.

There are two master bedrooms on the estate as well as a mix of freestanding outdoor deep-soaking baths and showers, spacious decking and sun loungers (calling all bathing beauties!) and a crow's nest to drink in the exquisite and fiery sunrises and sunsets on the island.
