OCBC opens $5-million all-in-one banking branch along Orchard Road

OCBC Bank has unveiled its latest branch, located at new Orchard Road shopping mall orchardgateway. It is the largest OCBC branch in Singapore, besides the bank’s headquarters on Chulia Street, and cost over $5 million to build. The anchor tenant of orchardgateway, the branch boasts three levels, spanning nearly 10,400 square feet. Speaking at the branch’s official opening ceremony on 3 July 2014, OCBC Bank CEO Samuel Tsien said, “[The] orchardgateway branch reflects our commitment to provide a differentiated and innovative banking experience to our customers.” He added that the branch “puts our customers at the centre of everything” and “offers a one-stop integrated solution”. The orchardgateway branch offers OCBC’s retail banking services all under one roof including FRANK by OCBC services, Premier Banking services, as well as corporate banking facilities. OCBC Premier Banking offshore relationship managers will also be on hand to provide assistance to customers. This will be OCBC’s second branch to provide paperless banking services. The branch is also home to the bank’s first collaboration with a Singapore art gallery, Taksu. Artwork will be displayed prominently throughout the branch and are available for purchase from the art gallery. The branch will also provide Sunday banking services, and will be open daily from 11am to 7pm except for public holidays.
