J Lo doesn't necessarily only do ab moves as part of other workouts. In this routine with ex-husband ARod, she focussed on core-only, using a medicine ball.
The first move is a medicine ball sit up followed by weighted Russian twists with the medicine ball. So, for a core as strong as J Lo, spice up your workouts by adding these in.
How to do a medicine ball sit up:
1) Lay back on an exercise mat with knees bent and feet on the floor.
2) With a flat back and arms stretched overhead, grip a medicine ball between both hands.
3) Using your core bring yourself to sitting upright, keeping your feet flat on the mat and arms as straight as possible throughout the whole exercise.
4) Lower back down and repeat.
How to do a medicine ball Russian twist with sit up:
1) Sit on a mat with knees bent, holding the medicine ball in front of you with bent arms.
2) Without shifting your hips twist the ball to the left-hand side and then over to the right, using your core to control the movement.
3) Once back at center lower your back down to the mat with arms outstretched to perform one medicine ball sit up.
4) Come back to upright with medicine ball in front of you and repeat.
