Zscaler: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Zscaler Inc. (ZS) on Thursday reported a loss of $29.2 million in its fiscal second quarter.
The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 23 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 9 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 3 cents per share.
The cloud-based information security provider posted revenue of $101.3 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $98.9 million.
For the current quarter ending in May, Zscaler expects its per-share earnings to range from 1 cent to 3 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $105 million to $107 million for the fiscal third quarter.
Zscaler expects full-year earnings in the range of 14 cents to 16 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $414 million to $417 million.
Zscaler shares have climbed 40% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $65.18, an increase of 31% in the last 12 months.
