YY: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

GUANGZHOU, China (AP) _ YY Inc. (YY) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $15.4 million.

The Guangzhou, China-based company said it had net income of 16 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 90 cents per share.

The social media company posted revenue of $962.9 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in December, YY said it expects revenue in the range of $1.04 billion to $1.07 billion.

YY shares have increased nearly 9% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $65.03, a rise of 6.5% in the last 12 months.
