Yext: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

NEW YORK (AP) _ Yext Inc. (YEXT) on Tuesday reported a loss of $30.6 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense, came to 12 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 15 cents per share.

The software developer posted revenue of $81.4 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $80.3 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $121.5 million, or $1.09 per share. Revenue was reported as $298.8 million.

For the current quarter ending in May, Yext expects its results to range from a loss of 14 cents per share to a loss of 11 cents per share.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $85 million to $87 million for the fiscal first quarter.

Yext expects full-year results to range from a loss of 50 cents per share to a loss of 45 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $378 million to $382 million.

Yext shares have climbed nearly 1% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $14.50, a drop of 23% in the last 12 months.
