Wolverhampton Wanderers host West Bromwich Albion in a Premier League clash of two out-of-form sides, who have managed no wins between them in their last 10 league outings. Wolves have dropped to 14th in the table, effectively the bottom of the mini-league of teams in mid-table, while the Baggies are 19th, six points from safety and with just one win all season.

Nuno’s side have really struggled for goals at times in the absence of Raul Jimenez, which has led to the recall of striker Patrick Cutrone who was on loan in Italy. But it’s also in defence which is an issue, with the switch to the back four this season not resulting in a solid and consistent level of performance - Wolves have conceded nine in their recent five-game winless streak, most recently a 2-1 loss against Everton on Tuesday night.

As for West Brom, Sam Allardyce hasn’t yet overseen a huge turnaround in style or results, as they suffered a 4-0 hammering against Arsenal in their most recent league outing.

Only Sheffield United and Burnley have netted fewer goals than Allardyce’s side this term, and they have by far the worst defensive record in the league, while they also suffered an FA Cup embarrassment losing to Blackpool.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the game.

When is the match?

The game kicks off at 12:30pm on Saturday, 16 January 2021, at Molineux.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate. It will also be streamed across the BT Sport app and desktop website for subscribers.

What is the team news?

Adama Traore has a knock and may be added to the Wolves injury list which already contains Daniel Podence, Raul Jimenez and Jonny. Marcal is also likely to miss out again, while Willy Boly is a doubt. Patrick Cutrone could come into the line-up after his recall from a loan spell.

West Brom are without the suspended Conor Gallagher and injured Karlan Grant, while Hal Robson-Kanu has a broken arm so is unlikely to feature.

Confirmed line-ups

Wolves XI: Rui Patricio, Boly, Coady, Saiss, Semedo, Dendoncker, Neves, Moutinho, Neto, Adama Traore, Fabio Silva.

West Brom XI: Button, O'Shea, Ajayi, Bartley, Gibbs, Snodgrass, Sawyers, Livermore, Grosicki, Pereira, Robinson.

Odds

Wolves - 7/11

Draw - 29/10

West Brom - 33/5

Prediction

Wolves could look even more disjointed in attack with a few players out injured, and if the game is won by either team it could be via a set-piece or a moment of individual ingenuity. Otherwise, a stalemate of fear could ensue. Wolves 0-0 West Brom
