VEGOILS-Market factors to watch November 17

The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil

markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Thursday after five consecutive sessions of declines on a

technical correction, and with support from overnight gains in Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT)

soyoil.

* U.S. corn futures fell to new contract lows for the third straight day on Thursday as

lower-than-expected weekly export sales and abundant supplies weighed on the market.

* Oil prices ended lower again on Thursday on increased concerns about growth in U.S. production

and inventories, despite expectations that major world producers will extend a supply-cut deal

later this month.

MARKET NEWS

* Asian shares rose on Friday as strong U.S. earnings and a step forward in the U.S. Congress on

tax reform brightened the mood, even though investors noted that many more hurdles must be

passed to reach a final deal on tax cuts.
