For those aspiring to earn a high salary after graduation, a career in medicine appears to be your best bet.
JobStreet.com said on Thursday that fresh graduates in Singapore can expect to earn $2,300 per month, but doctors can fetch the highest average starting salary at $3,095.
Research scientists (biotechnology) earn nearly the same with an average starting salary of of $3,082, and those graduates in process design and control follow closely with $3,055.

The figures are based on the average salary of all specialisations posted by employers on the jobs site in the first nine months of this year.
They reflect basic salaries and do not include forms of compensation such as leave credits, medical benefits, insurance and incentives.
