Tokyo stocks drop by break in quiet trade
Tokyo stocks fell 0.38 percent in a quiet session Monday morning as investors await key US jobs figures and a European Central Bank policy meeting later this week.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 76.51 points to 19,807.43 by the lunch break, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares lost 0.59 percent, or 9.45 points, to 1,585.00.
