Tokyo shares open down on Deutsche Bank worries
Tokyo shares opened lower Friday on renewed worries about the global financial system, with some hedge funds reportedly reducing their exposure to Deutsche Bank, questioning its strength.
The benchmark Nikkei-225 index dropped 1.28 percent or 213.76 points to 16,479.95 in early trade, while the Topix index of all first section shares fell 1.58 percent, or 21.19 points, to 1,322.06.
