Tenet star John David Washington is heading back to sci-fi territory in a new movie titled True Love.

Written and directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Godzilla), plot details are basically zilch right now, but according to Deadline, the action takes place in the near future.

Let's hope this one's a little easier to follow.

Washington also previously addressed the possibility of a Tenet sequel.

"In my mind, that's a yes!" he told Esquire when asked if a narrative could be built around The Protagonist and Neil's (Robert Pattinson) time-bending escapades.

The star went on to joke: "We will be doing this again, we'll see you in a couple of years," before offering a more grounded response.

"In reality, I don't know. Chris [Nolan, director] does what he wants. Maybe he has something that he's developed for years that he wants to do next, maybe he's been inspired by something else he sees and wants to do that, I don't know."

The actor will also soon star alongside Suicide Squad's Margot Robbie and Batman actor Christian Bale in a new film by David O Russell.

Washington also put us all to shame when he used his lockdown time to film an actual movie with Spider-Man star Zendaya, Netflix's Malcolm & Marie.
