SINGAPORE (Jan 31): Singapore Medical Group (SMG) subsidiary HiDoc today launched its new telehealth platform, which is meant to provide first-of-its-kind telehealth and video conferencing services while giving accredited specialists access to patient health records.

The platform aims to deliver medical diagnosis within 24 hours upon consultation, or instantly through video conferencing.
Currently, HiDoc says there are close to 15 specialists on the platform.
Both specialists and users may download the app free on their iOS and Android mobile devices.
Going forward, HiDoc says it intends to roll out features incorporating artificial intelligence while further expanding its existing network of specialists. It also aims to widen its geographic footprint into new markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia, with further funding to be raised in 2Q19 to support growth.
To support the latter goal, HiDoc has entered a strategic partnership with DBS Bank to build an inclusive digital ecosystem for the platform’s users. This includes allowing HiDoc users to make payments via DBS PayLah! in addition to credit and debit cards.

Shares in SMG closed flat at 42 cents on Wednesday.
