Singapore Exchange Ltd - How much is CFTC status worth in new business?

21/1/2014 – Singapore Exchange Limited has been authorised as Asia's first derivatives clearing organisation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the derivatives regulator in the US.

The announcement on December 30, 2013, explains that SGX will now be able to clear derivatives in compliance with the latest US laws and regulations, including the US Dodd-Frank Act, the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC's own regulations.
