Singapore cbank sets up review group to boost equities market development

Aug 2 (Reuters) - Singapore's central bank said on Friday it had established a review group aimed at strengthening equities market development, addressing challenges, supporting listings and enhancing regulatory regimes and investor confidence.

In a statement, it said the review group seeks greater private sector participation in developing the equities market, including investors, listed firms and intermediaries. It would be chaired by Chee Hong Tat, who is transport minister, second finance minister and a central bank board member. (Reporting by Martin Petty)
