Scholz: Germany aims to pass 2024 budget soon, but not in haste

BERLIN, Nov 22 (Reuters) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he expected the parliament to pass the 2024 budget soon but not overly hastily as it examined the impact of the negative constitutional court ruling last week on the country's finances.

"I find it correct that the consequences of the constitutional court ruling ... are checked carefully," Scholz said, when asked about the delay to talks on the budget at a joint news conference with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Berlin.
