Sabra Healthcare (SBRA) Q1 FFO and Revenues Beat Estimates

Sabra Healthcare (SBRA) came out with quarterly funds from operations (FFO) of $0.39 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.38 per share. This compares to FFO of $0.39 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an FFO surprise of 2.63%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this health care real estate investment trust would post FFO of $0.36 per share when it actually produced FFO of $0.37, delivering a surprise of 2.78%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus FFO estimates three times.

Sabra , which belongs to the Zacks REIT and Equity Trust - Other industry, posted revenues of $163.11 million for the quarter ended March 2022, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.15%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $152.37 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates just once over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future FFO expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.

Sabra shares have lost about 9.5% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's decline of -12.4%.

The consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.6% lower over the last 30 days to the current level.

Healthcare Trust of America's revenues are expected to be $198.68 million, up 3.8% from the year-ago quarter.
