From Digital Spy

RuPaul's Drag Race fans will be delighted to know that yet another series is on the way.

Drag Race Down Under is arriving on screens very soon.

RuPaul announced the show's premiere date on Twitter, writing: "U.S. PREMIERE May 1st on #WOWPresentsPlus - New Zealand PREMIERE May 1st on @TVNZ - Australian PREMIERE May 1st on @StanAustralia #DragRaceDownUnder."

The show was originally set to just feature Australian drag queens, but filming had to move to New Zealand due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Queens from both Australia and New Zealand will be battling to win the title of "Down Under's first Drag Superstar".

Eight episodes are set to air, with RuPaul and Michelle Visage sitting on the judging panel alongside comedian Rhys Nicholson.

The cast was announced at Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in March.

Queens taking part are Anita Wigl'it, Art Simone, Coco Jumbo, Elektra Shock, Etcetera Etcetera, Jojo Zaho, Karen From Finance, Kita Mean, Maxi Shield and Scarlet Adams.

The original Drag Race first aired in 2009, and has since only grown in popularity with the US version currently airing its 13th season.

It's also had five seasons of All Stars, with a sixth rumoured to be airing later this year.

Spin-offs have included two series of Drag Race UK, which have been a big hit for BBC Three, and a season of Canada's Drag Race which will soon be back for its second run.

There's also been Drag Race Holland which aired last year, and Drag Race España which will be on later this year.

The show has also had spin-off show RuPaul's Drag U, the Christmas special RuPaul's Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular, RuPaul's Drag Race: Vegas Revue, and RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK is available to catch up on BBC Three (on iPlayer). In the US, you can watch the show on WOW Presents Plus.

Netflix also premieres new episodes of the US series weekly. In the US, season 13 is airing on Friday nights at 8pm ET on VH1.
